Cabin of superior comfort VIP for 27 seats:

  • Rest room of the main passenger: 2 seats;
  • Main lounge: 11 seats;
  • Cabin for negotiations: 8 seats;
  • Cabin for attendants: 6 seats

Aircraft is equipped with separate work cabin with private toilet facility, spacious conference hall, VIP-cabin, seats for attendants. Full-color light-emitting diode lighting fittings (RGB) are installed in the Cabin that may render any colors hue.General design of the cabin is of business style. Spacious cabin, easy comfortable seats and sofas, covered by high-quality leather, fine wood, natural carpet, exclusive furniture. Recent developments are realized in interior of YAK-42D (42470) aircraft: light-emitting diode lighting fittings, furniture mechanisms with electrical drives, electric curtains of illuminators, computer-driven control system.

Main  lounge

8 seats of superior comfort (revolving, movable, with back deflected to 900°), three-seater sofa with shoulder belt and lap belt, double-bollard falling table with electric drive and table top with soft flap valves, information - entertainment rack with LCD display 42`, bollard – bar, as well as bollard with additional LCD display 20` are installed in the Main lounge. Windowsills are installed to the left and rights boards of the Main lounge. Window panels with electric drive curtains are installed in the Main lounge as well as in the rest room of the Main  passenger. Woolen carpet, full-color RGB lighting system with changeable emission color are installed in all passenger rooms. Furniture decorative brightening is installed in the cabin of the main passenger, Main lounge, negotiations cabin. All passenger compartments are equipped with flights modern security system.

 

Rest room of the Main passenger

Two-seat sofa bed with armrest equipped with shoulder belt and lap belt, double-bollard falling table with servo drive and table top, rack with information - entertainment equipment with LCD display 32`.

Room is equipped with wardrobe for 3 coat racks with internal space brightening. Rest room lighting of the main passenger is executed by use of RGB light emitting diodes.

 

Cabin for negotiations

Two rows of eight passenger seats of superior comfort (revolving, movable, with back deflected to 90° and head cushions) are installed in Cabin for negotiations. Double-bollard tables with electric drive with table top are installed between rows of seats.

Tables are equipped with glass holders and ashtrays.

It is possible to equip two additional sleeping berths with the help of seats lying.

Installation of two LCD monitors with diagonal of 20` is provided for passengers entertainment during flights.

Passengers entertainment system

Rest room of the Main passenger consists of:

Multimedia station DVD/CD/MP3, four-channel amplifier, 2 packages of speaker and LCD monitor with diagonal of 32`.

Equipment of the Main lounge consists of:

Multimedia station DVD/CD/MP3, player with function of karaoke, VideoTape Recorder, sound multimedia processor, four-channel amplifier, 2 packages of speaker, subbuffer and LCD monitor with diagonal of 42`.

Equipment of the Cabin for negotiations consists of:

Multimedia station DVD/CD/MP3, video splitter, four-channel amplifier, 3 packages of speaker and 3 LCD monitor with diagonal of 20`.

It is possible to display pattern of the sweep of the camera, installed on the Cabin monitors on fuselage and in the cockpit, as well as information transmitted by the installed system AEROSHOW-4000 Rockwell Collins.

Satellite phone receivers are installed in the rest room of the Main passenger and Main lounge.

Materials of the best quality and high valuation band are used for aircraft cabin decoration. Veneer of exclusive fine wood has been used for furniture production. Leather and materials of leading world manufacturers are used for interior finish of cabin elements and seats upholstery.

Oil potentate and philanthropist

Alexander Mantashev, son of Ivan

(1842-1911)

Early years

Alexander Mantashev, son of Ivan was born on 1842 in Tiflis (present Tbilisi) in Armenian family. Major part of childhood he spent in Tabriz where his father was engaged in the trade of cotton and textile. Being the only son, Alexander was involved in commercial affairs of his father from the very beginning. He moved to Manchester in 1869 that was the principal center of cotton and textile processing branch industry from where he had an opportunity to pass goods over his father in Tabriz. His stay in Manchester played a vital role in character development of the future oil potentate; he studied not only secrets of skills of textile industry but also subjoined to European business culture – just at this period he studied English, French and German languages.

Mantashev returned to his father in 1872 and soon they opened own cotton shop on the first floor of “Caucasus” hotel.

After death of his father in 1887 Alexander purchased majority of stocks of the Central Commercial Bank of Tiflis thus becoming its principal shareholder, and in future – the President of the Committee of the Bank. Bank was almost involved in every aspect of trade in Caucasus. At the beginning of 1890 Mantashev was already a merchant of I Gildia and the Speaker of Parliament of Tiflis.

Just at this period he showed interest in new business establishment – study of development prospects of Bakinsk oil industry.

Oil king

Not being afraid of risk Mantashev purchased unprofitable holes. Firm founded by him built kerosene plant and lubricating oil plant for oil processing in Baku. Sea berth and elevator were built on vessels for oil and boiler oil transfer. Shortly, holes brought enormous profit. Mantashev bought two tankers that began to supply oil to India, China, Japan, as well as the Mediterranean countries. Trade house “Al. Mantashev and Co.” was established in 1899.

 

Shortly, Manatshev purchased stocks of several world oil companies one of which was “Nobel Brothers”. Thus, firm, headed by him, controlled more than 50 percent of general common oil reserves and 66 percents of famous oil deposits of Caspian Sea.

 

Just at this period a side-splitting story happened to Mantashev. On the way from Vienna to Paris a very unsociable person turned out to be his neighbor by section. Mantashev who liked to commune, didn’t succeed in starting conversation with the fellow traveller. When they began to talk about Bakinsk oil industry unsociable person enlivened. Asking something about oil production he said that Alexander Mantashev was the only person in Baku he had heard about. Smiling Mantashev introduced himself. They got acquainted and “unsociable person” fell into silence again. Shaking hands in Paris they parted from each other. Some days later Mantashev was invited to rout. Invitation was signed by the famous millionaire - Baron Rothschild who modestly gave to understand that he was just that unsociable person in train.

 

The first in the world oil pipeline Baku-Batumi of 835km was built in 1907 that was financed by Alexander Mantashev after which the businessman was called “oil king”. His plant became the biggest plant in the history of Russian industry by volume of basic capital (22 million rubles) from 1899 to 1909.

Philanthropic activity and personal quality

Aleksandr Shirvanzade - a contemporary of Mantashev, classic of Armenian literature, responded about him: “No vast sums of money, but heart played exclusive and utmost role in charity of Mantashev. He sacrificed not from the empty vanity or malice; he sacrificed because his sensitive soul dictated to him. His charity bore stamp of true Christianity: “he did all disinterestedly...”

Together with twelve like-minded persons Mantashev established “Armenian Benevolent Society in Caucasus” that helped more talented young Armenians to enter the higher educational institutions of the Europe and Russia. Komitas - founder of Armenian classical music, was among them.

Perhaps, the most significant deed of Mantashev is construction of Armenian Church of St. Hovhannes Mktrich (St. John the Baptist) in Jean Goujon Street, Paris (1904). “It is a city where I committed sins”, - the potentate spoke ironically of himself. Mantashev subscribed more than 1.5 million francs for construction of the temple that is considered to be the most beautiful one in Armenian Diaspora.

For this alms-deed president of France awarded Alexander Mantashev with Legion of Honour.

Mantashev was amateur of theatre. Building of “Pitoevski Theater” (nowadays Georgian Academic Theater after Shot Rustaveli) was built in Tiflis due to his financial support.

He had his own stage box in Parisian Academic National de Musique. He dreamed to build similar theatre in Yerevan but didn’t finish.... His gift to the city is the Small Hall of Armenian Philharmonic.

Mantashev was a modest man, didn’t like to make a show of his luxury. He didn’t bear gold, and natural flower in breast pocket of his coat was the only adornment. He didn’t have own crew, walked or went by tram. Every time passing by Tiflis real academy he approached to poor students, forwarded to them and asked: “How is your father. Give My Regards to him”. And at this moment he inconspicuously gave gold coin to the student in the denomination of five rubles. Alexander Mantashev died on April 19, 1911 in Saint Petersburg. He was buried near his wife in tomb of Vanksk Cathedral (Arantsvank) in Tiflis, main church of which was restored due to his contributions in due time.
